Picture goes here | A few years ago, Sonny and Rachel Drie dger had a dream for a Christian radio station that broadcast right from their home town, Slave Lake AB. Eventually, as the Lord led, Sonny approached some other local businessmen to see if they would be interested in pursuing this idea with Sonny. He approached Dave and Rina Banman, Peter and Mary Derksen, as well as Ron and Judi Wood. They each agreed that it was a good idea to pursue and contact was made with CIAM radio our of Fort Vermilion. The year was 2006. Within a year, they had approached the CRTC and asked for the call letters YJLU - Yes, Jesus loves you! They also had receiveed Charitable Society status and even had a home for the radio station to braodcast from. Renovations began in the broadcast area and the equipment was brought in. | | |
